University of Texas junior cornerback Aaron Williams visited the Dallas Cowboys this week, according to a league source with knowledge of the situation.

The 6-foot, 201-pounder ran the 40-yard dash in 4.44 seconds at the Longhorns' Pro Day campus workout.

He has been drawing late first-round and early second-round grades from most draft analysts with the NFL Advisory Committee assigning him a second-round grade.

Williams was a Parade All-American who played immediately as a freshman.

Three years ago, he blocked four punts to tie a school record.

He was named second-team All-Big 12 Conference as a junior, deflecting 12 passes with 46 tackles, five for losses and three forced fumbles.

As a sophomore, he recorded 44 tackles with six for losses, three interceptions and six pass deflections.

For his career, he finished with 106 tackles, four interceptions, three sacks, 12 tackles for losses, 24 pass deflections, six forced fumbles, one fumbled recovery and five blocked punts.

As a true freshman, he played in every game with one start and returned an interception 81 yards for a touchdown against Arkansas.
