The Dallas Cowboys are in a tough spot. They came into the Philadelphia game needing a win and fell on their face. They came into the game with the No. 1 rushing defense in the entire NFL and both Michael Vick and LeSean McCoy made them look really bad. I won't make excuses because Vick and McCoy are all-pros and they are the No. 1 rushing offense in the league for a reason. However, Dallas needs to figure out what went wrong and fix it quick.

This week brings the Seattle Seahawks, a team Dallas should have few problems with. Here is a look at the Seahawks and what they bring to the table against Dallas.

Tarvaris Jackson

Jackson was a joke to many people coming into the season. Seattle let Matt Hasselbeck go and decided that Charlie Whitehurst didn't deserve to compete for the starting quarterback job. Instead, they handed the job over to a guy who failed miserably when given the chance in Minnesota. Why would a guy who had never won be given the keys to the franchise? With the exception of Week 5, where he was hurt, he has two 300 yard games in his last three played. He has four touchdowns and four interceptions. He is also playing like an actual NFL quarterback. It is also interesting that he started to make noise when Sidney Rice came back from an injury.

Sidney Rice

Rice came back from injury in Week 3 and immediately caught eight balls for 109 yards. The only safety net that Jackson had as the new quarterback in Seattle was his former Vikings' mate Rice. In Week 4, the two connected on three receptions for 79 yards and a touchdown, and when Jackson returned from his injury, Rice caught seven balls for 102 yards. Jackson to Rice is still a deadly combination.

Marshawn Lynch

Lynch has run for a touchdown in each of the last three games. However, in two of those games his rushing yards was pedestrian. Lynch will not run for a touchdown against Dallas. After last week's beating at the hands of the Eagles, Dallas should completely shut down the Seattle running game.

Seattle Pass Rush

Seattle has 13 sacks on the season, and five in the last two games. They also have eight interceptions, six in the last three games. This is a team that has only given up an average of 275 yards in the last two games, but those were against Cleveland and Cincinnati. It is only when Seattle has the lead and the opponents have to throw that they run into trouble. If Dallas can keep their game plan balanced and feed DeMarco Murray the ball a lot, they should keep Seattle from doing too much damage.

Author Shawn S. Lealos has followed the Dallas Cowboys since he was a child, his favorite players range from Roger Staubach and Tony Dorsett to the Triplets of the 90s. Through the great years of the '90s and the hard times of the '80s, Shawn never turned his back on America's Team.
