Super Bowl week, and the festivities that go along with it, are a lot like Las Vegas: there's always something happening somewhere. The Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex will see dozens of parties and events in the days leading up to the Super Bowl, and if you are in town, chances are you will see just as many celebrities as cowboy hats.
Whether you are looking for family-friendly events, or something to satisfy your inner sports nut, there is an event to suit your tastes. Here are some of the key events being held in DFW leading up to the big game.
The NFL Experience
Runs from Wednesday, February 2 through Sunday, February 6. Times vary (see website)
Dallas Convention Center, 650 S. Griffin St., Dallas 75202

THE must-attend Super Bowl event, other than the game itself. The Dallas Convention Center will be the hub for all things football, from Q&As with coaches and experts, to hands-on demonstrations for kids, to autograph sessions with current and former NFL players. A massive exhibit area will provide more than a football fan could want. My particular favorite: the Wilson booth, where fans can see footballs being made by hand. It's also the only place to see the Lombardi Trophy before game day. The Dallas train (DART) stops at the convention center, but if you drive in, use the underground parking. It provides easy access to the event floor.
