RATLIFF AGREES TO 5-YEAR EXTENSION

IRVING, Texas - The Dallas Cowboys have agreed to a five-year contract extension with nose tackle Jay Ratliff that will keep him with the team through the 2017 season.

Ratliff, a three-time Pro Bowler (2008-10), was originally drafted by the Cowboys in the seventh round (224th overall) in 2005 out of Auburn. He has started 63 of 82 career games and has 250 tackles, 25 sacks, 18 tackles for loss, 96 pressures, 13 pass breakups and five forced fumbles. Ratliff also has 12 fumble recoveries and blocked one field goal.

The 6-foot-4, 303-pound Ratliff just turned 30.
