ASHBURN, VA. (AP) Rex Grossman says he feels like “something clicked” with the Washington Redskins offense against the Dallas Cowboys.

Grossman said Wednesday that he has a gut feeling that the offense “finally maybe turned the corner” when it put up 24 points in the overtime loss.

It was the sixth straight defeat for the Redskins, who are 3-7. They are averaging 16 points per game, ranking 27th in the NFL.

Grossman threw for 292 yards vs. Dallas and led an 89-yard touchdown drive that tied the game at the end of regulation.

Such a performance makes it easy to wonder what the Redskins’ record would be if Grossman hadn’t been benched for three games.

Says Grossman: “Until we prove otherwise, it was just one game.”

The Redskins play at Seattle on Sunday.
