Dallas Cowboys at New York Jets

Sunday, 8:20 ET, NBC, Al Michaels, Cris Collinsworth, Michele Tafoya

Gameplan: If the Cowboys want QB Tony Romo to answer the bell in Week 2, they'd be wise to get RB Felix Jones and TE Jason Witten involved early. With three first-year starters on the offensive line facing a Jets defense that brings relentless pressure despite lacking elite individual pass rushers, Romo won't have much time to sit in the pocket. Jets QB Mark Sanchez will also face a strong rush, and has a reputation for quickly checking down and being overly conservative. But with CB Terence Newman not expected to play, Sanchez should be more aggressive attacking downfield to the trio of Santonio Holmes, Plaxico Burress and Derrick Mason.

Need to know: Romo has a franchise-record streak of 20 consecutive games with a touchdown pass. … Jets coach Rex Ryan's brother, Rob, is the Cowboys' new defensive coordinator.
