Pitt wide receiver Jonathan Baldwin has had 12 official visits and three private workouts, according to a league source with knowledge of the situation.
He has visited the Baltimore Ravens, Dallas Cowboys and the Detroit Lions.
The 6-foot-4, 228-pounder ran the 40-yard dash in 4.43 seconds at the NFL scouting combine, bench pressed 225 pounds 20 times and registered a 42-inch vertical leap.
He also posted a 10-9 broad jump, a 1.58 10-yard split and a 7.07 three-cone drill.
A two-time All-Big East Conference selection, Baldwin caught 53 passes for 822 yards and five touchdowns last season.
He caught 57 passes for 1,111 yards and eight touchdowns the previous season.
A native of Aliquippa, Pa., Baldwin is looking to follow in the rich tradition of NFL players from his hometown including Darrelle Revis, Sean Gilbert and Mike Ditka.
He has been drawing primarily second-round grades from draft analysts.
