Today, the NFLPA has approved the proposed CBA that the league owners voted in this past Thursday. Demaurice Smith stated during a press conference that an additional statement would be made however he thought it was important that football fans know that football would be back very soon.

The NFL Players Association executive board and 32 team reps have voted unanimously to approve the terms of a deal to the end the 4½-month lockout.

"We wanted to let everyone know who loves this game the executive committee recommended the approval of the deal. To our fans, I know that you love this game as much as I do. I know this has been a very long process... but our guys stuck together when no one thought we would and football is back because of it. I dig our fans who love this game." Demaurice Smith stated.

Demaurice Smith came back outside the NFLPA offices about 10 minutes later with Roger Goodell by his side.

"Its been a long time coming. Football is back and thats great news for everybody. I want to thank Dee. We are grateful for all of the work that both parties did." Goodell stated.

136 days after the player association decertified, Demaurice Smith came back to the podium and indicated NFL Football would be back. Players will start appearing back at team facilities tomorrow. Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.
