Andre Gurode, released by the Dallas Cowboys recently, will work out for the New England Patriots today, according to Ian Rapoport of the Boston Herald.

Here's hoping the Patriots sign him, just to test the limits of the harmony in the New England locker room, created by Bill Belichick and patrolled by the team's leaders.

Remember, the Pats already have Albert Haynesworth, whom they traded for this season. Haynesworth is the one who stomped on Gurode's helmet-less head in a 2006 game when Haynesworth was still a Tennessee Titan.

Usually in a locker room, any time two players who have had a history against each other become teammates, they at least co-exist well enough not to tamper with locker room harmony.

But it will be interesting to see what sort of Haynesworth-Gurode truce could be worked out if they are both in Foxboro.
