SAN ANTONIO (AP)—Two primary protectors for Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo are finally back at practice.

Re-signed offensive linemen Doug Free and Kyle Kosier are on the field for the team’s practice Thursday night, hours after NFL players ratified the collective bargaining agreement. That move allowed all players with new contracts since July 26 to rejoin their teammates on the field.

Left tackle Free got a $32 million, four-year deal to stay in Dallas.

Coach Jason Garrett pushed back the start of Thursday’s second practice from the usual mid-afternoon start in hopes that everybody would be able to get back on the field.

Others practicing for the first time are defensive ends Marcus Spears, Jason Hatcher and Kenyon Coleman, safety Gerald Sensabaugh, receiver Jesse Holley and cornerbacks Alan Ball and Bryan McCann.
