FORMER DALLAS COWBOYS CENTER DIES OF CANCER

Former Dallas Cowboys center Ben Fricke has died following a bout with cancer.

Fricke, who was 35, played for the Cowboys from 1999 to 2001 and started five games in 2000, according to the Dallas Morning News. He was a four-year starter at Houston, and was drafted by the New York Giants. He also spent some time in NFL Europe.

Fricke was a teacher and assistant football coach at Centennial High School in Frisco, Texas.
