The 2011 Pro Bowl roster starters selected here are the players that most deserved the selection. These 2011 Pro Bowl starters might not be the most obvious choices either, but they are all players that deserve a shot to start the NFL All-Star Game.
Keep in mind that these Pro Bowl roster selections are based on the 2010 NFL season, and not necessarily because the player is the best at his position in the NFL. Everyone would like to have wide receiver Andre Johnson on their team in the NFL, but he had an injury-plagued 2010 campaign that keeps him from making our Pro Bowl roster.
When it comes to the best fullbacks, we also give them a lot of credit if they are clearing the way for a running back to have an impact year. Both of our fullbacks were the blockers for the lead running back on our team. Ovie Mughelli and Vonta Leach are two of the best fullbacks in the league now, and really deserved a spot on our starting roster.
Aaron Rodgers was very impressive in Green Bay Packers to take one of the starting quarterback slots, but Tom Brady probably had an NFL MVP season for the New England Patriots. Brady threw for 3,900 yards, had 36 touchdowns, but more impressively, just threw four interceptions during the entire season. Rodgers put Greg Jennings on this list too, as they teamed up for 12 touchdowns.
We did have a rule for our offensive linemen, simply that they had to be playing for a good team this year, and we don't put a lot of stock into a line being great if the team cannot put up wins.
