DeMarcus Ware(notes) has got it all figured out.

Justin Tuck(notes), when he takes shots at the Dallas Cowboys, is just the jealous type.

That is Ware’s theory, anyway, as the Cowboys prepare to host the Giants on Sunday night with first place in the NFC East up for grabs.

He says that because maybe he wants to play here,” Ware said, according to the New York Daily News. “Everybody wants to play for the Cowboys. If I wasn’t playing for the Cowboys I would call it that, too, because I want to play for them.”

It’s really a shame both of these players are pass rushers because it would be a delight to see them go against each other, wouldn’t it?

There’s been some bad blood brewing for a while between the rivals. Brandon Jacobs(notes) has taken turns ripping Tony Romo(notes) over the years. Tuck insists he hates the Cowboys.

“I hate anytime we play them,” Ware said. “It’s just not the Giants, because guess what, the team is trying to come in here and take your manhood. So it don’t matter who you’re playing.

“It’s sort of like a battle, gladiator against gladiator, who wants it the most. It’s not just the Giants, so there is a lot at stake. You’re playing for first place, and you’ve got to get out there and play hard.”

The beauty of the whole thing? This is the first of two meetings between the teams in the final four weeks. It’s how the NFC East will be won.
