DALLAS COWBOYS FANTASY FOOTBALL UPDATE FOR WEEK 16 - A FANS TAKE

The Dallas Cowboys went into the Week 16 game with Philadelphia thinking they might have a chance to win the NFC East in the game. However, when the New York Giants took out the New York Jets, it came down to one game to determine the division winner and playoff competitor. That game was not Philadelphia, so Dallas pulled Tony Romo after he injured his hand and Felix Jones, who was suffering from a tight hamstring.

With those two stars gone, here is who was left for fantasy football lineups (not including Stephen McGee).

Sammy Morris

Sammy Morris impressed a lot of people with his hard running in Week 15. He started in place of Felix Jones after Jones left the lineup in Week 16 and finished with only 29 yards on 13 carries. He also caught four balls for 10 yards.

Miles Austin

Miles Austin continues to be mildly productive since his return from his second hamstring injury of the season. Austin finished his third game in a row with a touchdown reception. He also caught four passes for 40 yards, nice numbers considering he was playing with the guy who was the third string quarterback at the beginning of the season.

Dez Bryant

Stephen McGee targeted Dez Bryant more than anyone else in the game, throwing eight balls his way. Bryant made good use of the pass attempts, catching six of the balls for 62 yards. As the Cowboys only scored one touchdown in the game, Bryant nor the following players got into the end zone either, making them all slightly disappointing.

Laurent Robinson

Laurent Robinson has been Mr. Touchdown for the Dallas Cowboys since coming aboard the team and starting after Miles Austin went down with his second hamstring injury. Since Austin returned, Robinson's numbers have not been as great consistently but he still scored touchdowns. Week 16 was his worst week as a Cowboy receiver. Robinson had one catch for five yards.

Jason Witten

Jason Witten continues to under-perform compared to what fans are used to. He finished the Week 16 game with four receptions for 24 yards. That is about the normal number of receptions he has been seeing lately and is actually more yards than he got against the New York Giants in Week 14. This is not Witten's best year.
