Troy Bergeron continues to make the most of his football action during the lockout.

The Dallas Cowboys wide receiver, who joined the Arena League last month to sharpen his skills, is putting up huge numbers. Bergeron caught six touchdown passes Saturday night in Cleveland’s 55-48 victory over Chicago.

According to Gerry Fraley of the Dallas Morning News, Bergeron now has 13 touchdown receptions through three games with the Gladiators. He’s tied for the league lead and he ranks second in AFL in scoring.

Bergeron didn’t play any college football but he has plenty of experience in the indoor game and as long as there is no NFL action, he can continue to hone his game. Bergeron finished last season on the Cowboys practice squad. He was signed to a reserve/futures contract which does not take effect until the new league year begins.
