Kevin Kolb took every snap in practice on Wednesday and responded well today so he is expected to finally return to the starting lineup.

The Arizona Cardinals expect to have their quarterback in place Sunday when they host the Dallas Cowboys at University of Phoenix Stadium. The big trade acquisition has missed the last four games with a painful right foot injury that, according to Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic, included turf toe, a sprained ligament and a bone bruise.

John Skelton has been playing in Kolb’s place. The Cardinals were optimistic Kolb could re-ignite their offense this season and that hasn’t exactly happened. Perhaps he will be better down the stretch now that he’s had time off. Arizona certainly could benefit from a strong finish by Kolb with the hope it serves as a spring board into 2012.
