After the St. Louis Rams lost 24-3 to the Green Bay Packers Sunday and quarterback Sam Bradford had been taken down hard at game's end, he had X-rays that revealed no break and said, "It's fine. I think they're just being a little cautious."
But the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that things were looking a little different on Monday when it was discovered that Bradford has a high ankle sprain, which normally has players out of action for three or four weeks. The paper notes that the injury is on Bradford's left ankle, which bears less weight when he throws. He had a walking boot on Monday.
"I think you're always concerned to see a quarterback in a boot," coach Steve Spagnuolo said, according to the Post-Dispatch. "In my experience, with a high ankle sprain, you never know. Fortunately, it's not the plant foot. That helps a little bit."
Bradford will prepare for Sunday's game against the Dallas Cowboys, the paper reports, but backup A.J. Feeley may get the start.
